Our steward introduced himself the first day, then we never saw him again. At the introduction I mentioned a drawer was sitting 3 inches open and we kept hitting it as we walked by, and it couldn't be closed, and the bathroom light was not working. By the 2nd day I ended up calling Guest Services to report it as it had not been fixed, and within 10 minutes an engineer came by and fixed everything. Our cabin was cleaned well each morning, though, so no complaints there.

If you don't make one, you might find yourself waiting 20 minutes or more for a table at peak times. If you make a reservation through the app, you'll receive a notification to report to the host stand when your table is ready. Done up in bright, tropical colors, these rooms offer extended outdoor lounge space and private access to the Havana Pool and Bar area. One example is the Dr. Seuss-themed Seuss-a-palooza Parade that makes its way through the Currents zone once per sailing. I happened to be sitting at a table in the area when the festivities kicked off. I decided to stay to see what it was all about, and I'm sorry I did.
Premium Vista Balcony
However, Breeze has a cuter color palette in cabins and features an additional for-fee restaurant, Bonsai Sushi. Since the differences are pretty small, it will be down to price for most passengers. When Carnival Magic appeared on the scene in 2011, the cruise industry sat up and took notice.
Port Reviews
Tweens and teens have their own dedicated hangout spaces. Activities here are less structured, and participants can come and go as they please. Kids and adults who aren't afraid of heights will enjoy the top-deck ropes course, which offers two options for different levels of skill and bravery. The Bolt roller coaster, a minigolf course and a basketball court are also found in the SportSquare area within the Ultimate Playground zone.
The Lido offers a classic continental breakfast, pancakes, waffles, sweet rolls, french toast, cold cuts, and cereals. For the healthier breakfast, there is a wide array of fruit. At three different egg stations, chefs cook omelets to order, with a choice of mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, and cheese.

Our Cabin: Interior
One of the entrances is through the Lido and up a staircase, and Carnival installed two beautiful glass Tiffany-like chandeliers. This is definitely not gourmet food, but the chefs of the Magic do a pretty good job. If you order a steak medium rare, that's exactly what you get. We tried several dishes on the daily menu and were surprised at the high quality. We'd strongly suggest the escargot in olive oil and garlic. Compared to the same dish on the Norwegian Dawn, it was amazing.

Aft-View Extended Balcony staterooms feature a larger balcony for more lounge-around room, more kick-back space; not to even mention some of the best stern-side views you'll find anywhere. Get ready to relax as you gaze upon Carnival Magic's gentle wake from your spacious balcony. The Carnival Magic dress code is relaxed, with passengers encouraged to dress as they please in a range from casual to elegant. That said, the dining rooms do not allow flip-flops, open shoes (for men), shorts or swimwear. There are also elegant nights on all Carnival ships (depending on the length of your voyage).

Stewarsd and waiters can be tipped on top of the gratuity, but all these tips go into a pot, which is distributed evenly. If you really like one of your service staff, it is better to give the tip personally, with cash. The Fun Shops of Carnival sell perfumes, jewelry, cigarettes, accessories, bags, clothing, knickknacks, and souvenirs.
Carnival Magic
The 3690-passenger ship Carnival Magic was built in 2011 for USD 740 million. Magic features facilities similarly designed on the previous generations of line's ships while presenting some new features. This extraordinary ship marks the end of Carnival's longtime interior architect Joe Farcus, and he goes out in style. While cruisers might still expect neon and mirrored surfaces, his touch is limited, as far as other designers were also hired. This is the reason why there is a lighting refinement to many of the places, including the main dining rooms, the sun deck and especially Serenity adults-only area. The adjacent fitness center is on the small side but features for-fee personal training and organized fitness classes, as well as equipment that's free for passengers to use.

On the far end of the room, coming off one of the walls, is a king size bed that can be converted into two twin beds. Basically, we ate like a king and queen for 6 days and nights, got some sun, relaxed to the point that we considered not ever coming back. Carnival didn't up charge us for anything, the ship wasn't the latest greatest one, but it was plenty big and fun enough, we didn't pay a fortune, and we had a blast. We will do this every December until the cows come home. And, if the cows do come home, tell them we are out cruising and don't care! It didn't matter because we weren't in there much but next we will probably get a bigger cabin.
The reviews for the resort were largely positive, although there were a negative reviews. Then I realized I could book the same resort as a Carnival excursion and all the reviews on Carnival's website were TERRIBLE. Those reviews of the Carnival excursion made the resort sound terrible. There's no reason one review site should have largely positive reviews while the Carnival excursion has awful ones.
You can get your hair styled from $35, or highlighted for $89 (depending on length of hair). The beauty salon also offers waxing, starting at $19 for little mustaches and going up from there. Men's services like beard trimming, hair cuts, shaves, and grooming are also available (starting at $15), as is a tooth whitening service (starting at $199 a session). There's a thermal suite with a sauna and steam room, as well as a thalassotherapy pool (91 degrees warm) that costs $20 per day or $99 for the duration of the cruise. As in all other bars on the Magic, you can get frozen drinks, beers, soda, and water. Being part of the pool area, you can use the bar and its tables to sit down and eat, which are bright rattan chairs and wooden tables.
